International Peace Garden
World Peace is alive in northern North Dakota near Minot. The 2,339 acre International Peace Garden is situated along the United States and Canadian border. This unique park was established in 1932 as a symbol of peace and friendship.
The park features 150,000 flowers, planted each year along with the beautiful 18-foot floral clock. Be sure to see the four, 120 foot peace towers – two in the United States and two in Canada.
Stroll the grounds to see the peace chapel at the base of the towers, the fountains and the bell tower. The bell tower contains the Arma Sifton tower bells given to the park by the Central United Church of Brandon in Manitoba.
Schedule plenty of time in the park to also see the remains of the World Trade Center attacks, from September 11, 2001 and the North American Game Warden Museum.
