Camp Hancock State Historic Site

Originally Fort Greeley, Camp Hancock was established in 1872 in Bismarck, North Dakota. It was originally developed to protect workers building the Northern Pacific Railroad cross the state.

Found along Interstate 94, the site features a steam locomotive and an Episcopal church are within the fort’s property. The headquarters, an original log cabin, still stands; it serves as an interpretive museum, offering artifacts and details about the fort’s – and surrounding area’s – history.
