Burning Hills Amphitheater
A show can be fun to see, but a show in the splendor of a 2,900-seat outdoor amphitheater set in the North Dakota Theodore Roosevelt National Park can be downright spectacular. The Burning Hills Amphitheater was built in 1958 and has been hosting a variety of productions ever since.
Shows with a Western theme tend to dominate, in salute of the area’s history and the influence of Teddy Roosevelt; other shows involve comedy, gospel, and other variety acts including live horses on stage and Cowboy Camp for Kids, a pre-show event on stage involving kids from the audience. Medora is located a little over 30 minutes west of Dickinson via I-94.
